SCHOOL ACTIVITY

Student  Basic Leadership Training

Last week, on 21-23 September, my school, 3 Senior High School Bandung in collaboration with Infantry, has organized student basic leadership training. This activity is compulsory for 10th grade students.

We gathered at Pussenif on the 6.30 in the morning. That day was sunny. X Science 3 lined up in a line. We put our extra heavy luggage on the ground. We were laughing and took a lot of pictures, without knowing what will happen next...

The X Science 3 were split into 2 teams. The first half of X Science 3 was on Team A alongside X Science 1 and X Science 2. While the second half of X Science 3 (which I was in) was on Team B alongside X Science 4 and X Science 5.

First Student who bring handphone and/or watch must collect their cell phone and/or watch. After that, we held a flag ceremony. After the flag ceremony, we listened mandate from the headmaster of 3 Senior High School Bandung and commander of Pussenif, Rubiono Prawiro in the convention hall.

They also taught us about some song that we would sang in the student basic leadership training. Next, we had a lunch together at the room. We were taught by the soldiers to ate in the correct manner. We also sang a song before we had our lunch. After that, we took our gears and equipments to the barrack.

After that, we took some lessons about state defending efforts from the soldiers. We took classes until late night. Hence, we were very tired. We went back to our barrack on 9.30 in the night. I thought the day was over already, but I was wrong...

They woke us up at 11 in the evening. They woke us with a very loud firefighter-like sirens and alarms. It shook me and all my friends. Apparently, they woke us up to remind us that we, the Muslims, must Pray Tahajud.

On the second day morning, we did morning gymnastic on about 5:30 am. On that day, we got a lot of material about line of march from morning to evening. In the evening, we all went to Taman Makam Pahlawan (cemetery garden of national heroes) which located on Cikutra street. We went there on foot. On there, we did “Caraka Malam”, we must enter the cemetery, with 2 or 3 friends with no light or candle. We also pray together after that. We went back to Pussenif on about 2:00am on the next day.

It was the last day of the Leadership Training activities. During that day, we finished a sort of outbound activities that test our intelligence, teamwork, etc. We also watch the G30SPKI movie that day.

After that, we held a ceremony. We demonstrated our line up capability. After the ceremony, we got a participation certificate. We also got our cell phones and watches back. We took some photo before we went home. That was a great,  impressive,  and unforgettable experience i ever experienced.
